Nathalie Tarlet, French clown
A graduate of Annie Fratellines Circus School, Nathalie has toured
extensively with Rara Zoo out of London, Opéra de Lyons from Brazil,
and the European tour of Cirque Archaos. She performed the role of Julietter
in Cirque du Soliels Pomp, Duck, and Circumstance, and was part
of the original Teatro ZinZanni company in Seattle and San Francisco.
Nathalie
will be leading a weeklong clown intensive for students and company members
in October.
Past Presence
Stephanie Roberts, teacher and clown
A creator and director of "ensemble-generated clown adventures,"
Stephanie has worked with the Seattle Mime Theatre, Cornish College
of the Arts and is a member of the Big Apple Circus Clown Care Unit
at Seattle Children's Hospital. She visited us in August after attending
LaMama's International Symposium for Directors in Umbria, Italy. Company
and community members participated in a 6-hour clown workshop. |

Jeff Hogan, Former Education Director, TheatreSports, Seattle
An international improvisation artist, Jeff specializes in exploring
the psychological dynamics within structured improvisation. His
workshop on original methods of long-form improvisation gave us
new tools for developing and refining our works-in-progress.

Matt Smith, Co-Founder, Stark/Raving Theatre
Matt Smith is a Seattle-based writer, actor, improviser, teacher and
solo artist. While visiting, he lead a pair of workshops in creating
solo performance, consulted with the company on our works-in-progress,
and finished his week with a performance of his tour-de-force one
man show, My Last Year with the Nuns. Matt can be reached at starkrave1@aol.com.

Martin Hayes, Irish Fiddler
Martin Hayes is considered the most innovative and influential fiddler
in the world of traditional Irish music, and one of the most important
musicians to come out of Ireland in the last 50 years. While visiting,
Martin donated a glorious acoustic concert in the church next door
that was attended by the Ardeo community and neighbors from the surrounding
