I was born and raised in North Dakota and met my husband in high school. We were high school sweethearts, but met the summer before 9th grade. Ah so sweet! We have been married for 20 years. I graduated from Minot State University getting a K-12 Art Education degree with a minor in French (this helped with Spanish studies but I don't remember any of the French language). We moved to Florence/Missoula, MT 3 years into our marriage. I worked for Verizon Wireless for 7 1/2 years supporting the business sales channel prior to leaving for the field. We have one long awaited son named Wellington who turned 6 in August 2015. God waited to bless us with a child in order to fill us with a passion for missions. A difficult time of waiting but his plan became clear for us on why we had to wait so long for our family. Before moving to South America, we served as NMI co-presidents for several years at our local church (we don`t do too much apart from one another). We had committed to doing one 2 week mission project per year and on our fourth in Cusco, Peru, April 2010 we found out God had long term plans for us. 7 months later we moved to South America. Even though we did not go to Cali, Colombia for what we originally thought, God has continually been grooming us during our time here for the plans he has for us. While serving over the years in Colombia, God brought the call to adopt to each of us and in Dec of 2014 we were united with our son, Ferley, who turned 13 in Oct 2015. In April of 2016 we moved to Antofagasta, Chile as Cluster Coordinators for the Antofagasta, Chile church plant team and also continue in my role as Assistant to the CEO. As of Nov 2017, we are back in the US with my only role as Assistant to the CEO for which he is happy to not have a divided assistant.
