The Tuesday Two-Hundred (and Ten!)

The day began as every Tuesday in Extreme begins - with prayer from 4am to 6am.  This is a corporate practice within the ministry and is done wherever we are in the world and in whichever time zone we find ourselves.  We were about half and half short-term missionaries and Ibarrenos this morning, totaling about 40 or so in prayer. It was a beautiful time as we sang, prayed for personal requests, unsaved family members, the pastors of the church, and upcoming church events and the events of the week with the short-term team.  We also prayed against the strongholds and footholds the enemy has in Ibarra.  We prayed that chains of addiction, fear, abuse and corruption would be broken in the name of Jesus.  Emily Strunk, Cluster Coordinator in Ibarra, also shared a devotional with the group.

The team had a couple hours to rest before breakfast and then moved on the prepping for the second day of medical clinics.  We went to Asaya, a low-income neighborhood where the church operates a house of prayer (in-home Bible study) every week.  It was a crazy day.  At least 210 patients were seen today!  Also, two people accepted Christ in Dr. Kim Stock’s examination room.  Praise the Lord!

There was a steady flow of kids, so those not in the clinics were kept busy coloring and playing games with the 14-and-under crowd at the clinic.

Early-morning prayer made for a long day, but it was quite a success.  We more than doubled our patient count from the day before!  Tomorrow we continue with the medical clinics at the church.
