Throughout my life I have been filled with the desire to help others and to minister to them the love and Word of God through my lifestyle and actions. Leading up to the summer before my senior year of high school, I was planning to attend Northwest Nazarene University to get a Doctorate degree in Counseling and Psychology and to minister to people through that profession; God had something way better in mind!
While attending my church district’s annual youth camp, I prayed ceaselessly that I would know with confidence God’s calling for my life. I remember one of the pastors repeating the phrase “help me to win people for you God” and so I kept praying that simple phrase. Upon returning home I felt a call to the mission field and started praying for an opportunity to present itself. The Latin word “Ardeo” means to be “on fire” or “burn” and I believe that this word accurately describes my calling and desire to minister to people; with a fiery, burning passion. I am a Montana girl through and through but I am so excited to see what God will do through me in Colombia.
